What is Powder Coating?
Electro Static Powder is a dry finishing process, the part has a ground clamp attached and electro magnetic charged particles (powder) is drawn to the part and clings to the metal that is to be powdered. Once the metal is covered evenly with coloured powder, it is placed into the curing oven for a specified amount of time. Once the curing process is finished the part looks wet, but it isn't, it is very hot, but totally dry. Once it is cool enough to touch, it is finished.
Almost all metals that can withstand heats up to 350-425 F for 10-15 minutes can be powdered.
It looks like paint, but it is a protective shield. 20-30 times tougher than any liquid paint.
It looks tough. It looks great. And it lasts a long, long time.
It gives the products a superior finish, more appealing, and scratch resistant.
Affordable and a wide variety of colours to choose from.
Environmentally friendly and virtually pollution-free. Unlike liquid paint there is no harmful chemical smell. There are no solvents used. There are hardly any air born VOC's (volitile orgnanic compounds).
Unlike liquid paint, clean up is easy. Powder can be recovered and re-used, or it can be disposed of easily and safely in landfills.
